This policy explains what information The Tower: Daily Challenge (thetowerpuzzle.com) collects, why, and how it is used. The game has no user accounts and no server-side database — almost everything about your play stays on your own device.
Your progress, streak, statistics, and preferences (theme, marking style, zoom level, and similar settings) are saved using your browser's localStorage. This data:
thetowerpuzzle.com.If you use the "Subscribe" or "Report a bug" forms, the information you type (your email address and/or your message) is sent to our form processor, Netlify Forms, and forwarded to us by email. We use this only to respond to you or to notify you about the game, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
If you opt in to "Get a daily reminder", our push notification provider, OneSignal, stores a subscription identifier along with basic technical information (browser type, approximate region/timezone, and IP address) needed to deliver notifications to you. You can unsubscribe at any time from the same menu, or by blocking notifications in your browser settings.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic to the site. It is designed to operate without cookies and without tracking individuals across sites — it reports aggregate numbers (like page views) rather than building a profile of any single visitor.
| Service | Purpose | When it loads |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify Forms | Processes the subscribe / bug report forms | Only when a form is submitted |
| OneSignal | Delivers optional push notifications | Only if you enable reminders |
| Cloudflare | Site analytics and DNS/hosting infrastructure | On every page load |
| Ko-fi | Optional donation widget | Only if you open "Quick donate" |
Each of these services has its own privacy practices, governed by their own policies.
Donations made through Ko-fi are processed entirely by Ko-fi and its payment providers — we do not receive or store your payment details.
We may also display cryptocurrency wallet addresses (for example, for Bitcoin, Ethereum, or USDT) as an additional, optional way to support the project. If you choose to send a donation this way, the transaction is conducted directly on the relevant public blockchain, entirely outside of this website and outside of our control. Cryptocurrency transactions are generally irreversible; we recommend double-checking any address before sending funds. We do not collect any personal information from you as part of a cryptocurrency donation.
This site contains links to the "The Tower: One Million Numbers" book series on Amazon. If you purchase after clicking one of these links, Amazon may use its own cookies and tracking to attribute the sale, under Amazon's own privacy policy. We do not control or have access to your Amazon account information.
This game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy as the game evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
